A/C Sensor problem?

A/C Sensor problem?
Having problems with my a/c. Ext temp reads 50 degrees (sensor not working?) but a/c still blows cold. ext temp starts dropping, ac starts blowing hot air. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks
