headers 2.0

ok, i have ebay headers , 2 sets & they still leak, on a yr. & maybe 2 months not leaking. i want good headers this time. doug thorey or banks???? 04' f450 4x4 ccab v10 auto . bseg barry

well, went with doug thorey's they were about $700, banks are 1400 . will see if i made the right choice? bseg barry

I'm happy with my Thorleys. You just have to keep paint on them because they are steel. VHT ceramic header paint works well for me.

i cut the ebay headers and they are @.040 thick. That explains everything

my last [2nd] set was so bad i had 1 bolt i could not put in even out on the ground! i'd get one side stopped leakn then the other side starts. if the dt leak i'm going back to manifolds. ,barry

ok ,i got the doug thorey's on my f450 today .am happy with quailty ,fit is great , sounds much deeper than the ebay's . no leaks yea!!! seams to wind up quicker. did i say they fit great ,installation was easy. so save up and get good headers . bseg barry

hey, one thing on the doug thorey's is it replaces that sorry y pipe . the cross over is up under the bell housing like it should be. the trans filter will be easy to change now .sure can fell more power , will be towing about 18-20 k tomorrow so should see a diff. . like the 5 star tooo. thanks mike, barry

Hedman. Bolt straight up, no leaks on heads, but collector to y pipe has worked loose a few times. Lost original bolts. A ball and socket design. A few minutes with 9/16 wrenches and fine for a few more months. Also replaces crappy stock y.
