I drive the F350 everyday for my work truck, 12,500 miles since December. Personal truck is a 2009 3500 Dodge Dually Cummins with a 17 mile one way commute. Also have a 1991 Jeep Wrangler.

I drive my 350 DRW everyday exclusively. Got it 4/30/11, has 2500 miles so far, next week will start driving it 500 - 1000 miles per week, have experienced no problems or symptoms.

Thanks for the input, I hope the participation continues.

My thinking is this:

This of us that drive these trucks as our single mode of transportation seem to be the ones that are less "fussy" about the characteristics of how it behaves. The shifting and wheel bouncing are things that we get used to.

I noticed this as I drove my wife's expedition for a road trip, about 2000 miles. When we got home I got back in my truck and thought it drove like crap, bouncy, lots of vibrations, hard transmission shifts, sluggish transmission downshifting for passing, etc....

Then I got used to it again. I think these SD's just drive like big heavy pickup trucks. Going back and forth between the SD and a normal sized SUV or car will drive you crazy and I understand why.

My opinion is that it's just the way it is. Ford can continue to try to refine it, but it's just a big pickup truck. Unless you have a CEL or tires wearing improperly, most of us really don't have a serviceable issue.

Interesting thread, Joel. I think you may be correct about some of it, but I suspect there are some legitimate issues that people are seeing as well.

For example, I only drove my truck once or twice a week and a car all other times. True, the truck never drove nearly as smoothly as either of my cars but nothing ever seemed amiss with it either. Never had any wheel hop or funny transmission behavior. It drove like a truck, which is exactly what I was expecting.

But it's obviously lots more civilized than the heavy trucks I used to drive; even with an air seat those things would beat the crap out of you!

I use mine as a daily driver, just like the 08 6.4 before it. My only complaint with the 6.7 is that they neutered the diesel engine sound. I love to hear the clatter of a diesel engine, and oh God do I miss the black smoke cloud behind me. got 16Kmi on the 11 F250 with zero problems, I had 67Kmi on the 6.4 with no problems either except for piggy fuel consumption.
