I know this from experience.. nothing tests a part more than going offroading.

I bought an AZ tie rod end on one side, it rolled and acted dumb, didn't fit right, the bushing split and it looked old after maybe a month? Then I bought a Moog for the other end.. night and day difference, they're almost completely different parts. The Bronco will be a vehicle you are *constantly* fixing if you don't do it right and buy decent parts in the first place..
I'm at the point now where I've replaced every single part in mine with cheap autoparts store parts, and now it runs worse than I got it and I'm in the process of replacing those autopart store parts with Motorcraft.
Not hardly....no seat covers.....4 kids....never shampooed......I do have husky liners for that.....you cannot afford to wash and shampoo an Excursion every 3 days.....trust me on that....an oil change (doing it myself of course costs a $100....15 qts of synthetic Rotella and a Motorcraft filter)
I agree on 2 things.......as with any trail vehicle.......I see no end to constantly working on it.....and you will break everything eventually....I have not replaced any of the same parts twice yet...so that is good so far

I didn't mean to offend, your Excursion just looks really well taken care of.. I love my Bronco, but she's definitely battered.

No offense taken at all dude ! Heres our battered Bronco.....rust wise shes pretty good....out of Carolina.....bumped up some......top caved in....fender caved in...both bumpers are jacked and twisted....leaks everything but brake fluid....and previously poorly taken care of......I'd say its perfect for what I bought it for !
