Boxing the Frame

I am in the middle of installing boxing plates on the rear of my frame. I am trying to determine if I need to provide access holes through the boxing plate to attach the bed later. On the two center bed cross sills and the front bed cross sill do I need to provide an access hole to get to the nut that bolts the bed sills to the frame or can I simply weld the nut to the inside of the frame before I install the boxing plate. If I can weld the nut in, what size and thread pitch should I use?
Thanks in advance!
Scott

I'd make some access holes. Make sure you make the holes big enough to fish the nut inside AND get a wrench on it. Experience talking here. Don't forget to allow for running boards attaching to the frame. Holes or nuts for that, too.

I welded nuts in place for the running board brackets as well as the brake peddle assembly and front and rear cab mounts. I was hoping that I could do the same for the bed cross sills. I think that would be cleaner than an access hole.
Thanks for the input.
