Ok, I have done some research and think I may have found my issue, but wanted to ask you guys,
First tho I gotta let you know im doing this from my phone while its 5 a.m., and I'm stranded 1500 miles from home
Ok so I was helping a friend load some stuff on his truck and we where using my headlights, got all done and went to start truck, cranked slow and starter stuck, jumped out and disconnected my batterys, as soon as I hooked them up, it cranked again, but real slow, while the key was off, crawled under the truck and tapped on the starter everything was fine hooked up jumper cables waited 15 minutes fired right up, shut it down tried to start, cranked fine, almost fired, went to start again, got slower, and van stuck again.
What do I do, just charge the batterys, or do I need to put a starter in also?
I'd just charge the batts, if that seems to work then maybe for security since you are so far from home, get a starter from the parts store for the ride home just in case. If you end up not needing it, return it to the same named parts store where you live.
