yes it is possibe to put a <a href="http://www.motorhaven.com/">289 </a>into it , 302s and even a 351 would fit, although you will have to do several modifications to fit it in there. But all in all, i would have gone with a <a href="http://www.motorhaven.com/">302 </a>instead of a 289
