I have this one: Bottom-line pricing on Blair 13224 at ToolTopia.com
Works pretty well, but the teeth seem prone to breakage if you hook anything, and dont seem to last very long even when lubing with WD40 as I cut.
Yea Corey, admittedly not familiar with Blair cutter but it does appear a little too aggressive for me. Purchased Keysco Cobalt spotweld cutters, this was couple yrs. back, thru Amazon, althought they offer a kit for $70 I went w/ purchasing couple each of the size I would need. Keysco also made in USA, the package I have indicates there's a 'lifetime' guarantee, but the way they get around the warrantee is to charge for shipping and handling for returns which comes to bout same as new spotweld cutter. So far, removed 64 passenger vehicle floor and trunk pans and the cutter appears to still have an edge. Seem to recall manufacturer who would resharpen spotweld bits for minimal cost for shipping but can't recall who it was. Anyhow, not an authority, imagine as long as the bit last it's worth it regardless.
The container for the cutter I have has p/n of 77424 with a price tag of $13.06, I see Summit has the same cutter for $34.99 and states it has a titanium coating. Looked for the Keysco cobalt coated cutters but only found them in a 4 pak kit.
Perhaps another members will chime in and add input. May want to check out the reviews for a sense of direction. Eastwood also have spotweld cutters, may find customer reviews on their brand.
I found that drilliing a 1/8 pilot and then a 5/16th hole virtually got rid of the spot welds and with a clean up with the grinder, all good.
Fill the holes with the mig and strong as, tidy up and paint, all sweet.
