To day the engine icon (emmisions) light came while driving and the engine started to miss real bad.After I shut it down and restarted it it ran find, does anyone have an idea what it could be? The truck is an 03 SD with the 7.3 and has 79000 miles and isn't used a lot except when I pull our camper.

How rough did it run? Sounds like a UVCH issue. Do you have an ohm meter? https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ck-shakes.html

It ran on possibly 3or4 cylinders, I will check the connections on the #8 injector and see if it is loose.

i had a similiar problem with mine and a cps fixed it. i would still check your harness out as stated above.
