Truck jealousy?????

Hello people!!
Got off work and I was driving in the middle of a " big truck"parking lot when I saw a car hauler with 2 trucks on it.
I drove close to it and saw the 2 chebbies one was a 55 the other was a 48-51.
As I was driving next to it My truck stalled!!!!
It was very weird, its been driving fine since I replaced the fuel pump, the fuel line is away from the block and the thermometer read 170 tops!!!
Was my truck jealous that I was looking at other trucks in front of her???
Were the chebbies jealous that my f1 is better looking that them???
Were the chebbies mad that I am using one of their relatives "heart" and "legs"
You decide.
I personally think that the big man hates me and dont want me to be happy!!!!!

Did it re-start? Can you give a bit more detail on the conditions (air temp, humidity, etc) at the time of the stalling problem, it will help diagnose the problem. It might be as simple as a vapor lock situation, maybe there is something restricting the low idle circuit in the carb. do you have a fuel filter inline, has it been replaced recently? Help me out man!! Seriously, I hope you can get it figured out....probably something simple.
Good luck,
w

Fuel filter is clean
Carb fuel filter is clean
No humidity at the time
It was about 80 degrees outside when it happened.
The truck restarted right after and 3 hours after it happened.
The fuel line is really far from the block or exhaust
This never happened before at temps of 200
Mechanical pump is new
Antifrezee temp was 170 degrees at the time it happened.
Truck sat from 10 pm til 6 am and I only drove about 3 miles at 30MPH
I might have to take the fuel line from the tank to the fuel filter and check for rust.
Also I will have to take the tank and have it boiled and the works

When it stalled, did the rpm's slow to a crawl, then shut off, or did the engine just cut off.....if it just cut off, sounds like ignition problems to me. Someone will chime in to help more than I.

I think the rpms slowed down bit and the truck shook a little.
Hey thanks for the nice comment on my truck

I love your truck, love the stance, love the patina look, BUT HATE THAT CHEBBY TRANSPLANT!! I just can't wait to be able to worry about an engine stalling problem, etc. my project is in pieces and a long way from what you are enjoying.
BTW, sounds like some trash in the fuel line, carb etc......
