My A/C on my 2000 Ex v-10 wasnt as cold as i thought it should be. And whenever I used my A/C the compressor would run non-stop. So I figured it was low on R-134a So I pulled out the old Manifold and Gauge set and 3 cans of R-134a. When I installed the Gauges and was running the Engine, the low side was at 60PSI and The high side at 200PSI. As I filled the 1st can the low side came down to about 45PSI and the high side steady at 200 PSI. It remained that way till my 3rd can was empty.
This is what my readings are now and my A/C is cooler but, the compressor keeps going and never stops unless I turn off the A/C from inside. Also after I filled the system with these cans. The High side Guage isnt steady anymore. Its shaking where it's at now. If you look at the picture you will see.
So my question is..... Is there something wrong? Is it normal for the compressor to remain engaged all the time the A/C is on? Cause I know on all my other cars it cyles on and off....
My compressor works fine it engages when I turn on the A/C but it just stays engaged. It wont disengage but the A/C feels good and cold now. Im just worried if it is supposed to cycle off then on again.
Laki, read that thread, then measure the gap in your AC clutch.
That thread has a TON of AC info in it.

I read the thread and Im still lost I dont think I saw anything about A/C not cycling. But I drove to S.F. and back to San Jose with the A/C on and It stayed cold and I had no problems. So for now Ill leave it be. Thank u for your help.
