cv swap help

Ok so here is my problem I am trying to get my hands on an 05 crown vic front end that is missing the spindles, brake calipers and rotors then I just heard about a 98 mercury grand marquis I might be able to get for cheap. So here's my question will the spindles and calipers etc. Bolt on to the.vic frontend or did they change all that as well when they switched to the aluminum cross member. I know this is not a truck question but I was hoping someone might be able to help me. Alsowil I run into speedometer trouble with th 98 engine and tranny

i don't have any direct info, but my suggestion would be to hop onto something like the rockauto and/or napa website, look up the parts you're missing, and see if the part numbers match between '98 and '05.

If you have to buy all new rotors, calipers, spindles, etc for the '05 CV front end, it would probably be cheaper just to find another front end that was complete....just thought...

Yeah that's what I am starting to think the front end would have cost me 50 bucks and I guess the cutoff for inter change ability is 02 so the marquis idea might not work out

only $50?? wow!
for that kind of money, i'd pick it up just for the spare parts, and like '37 said, keep looking for a complete front end.
