Clutch Tool

When installing a clutch plate on my 49' f2 with 4 speed, do I need a pilot alignment tool? and if so where would I find one?

Not sure where you would find one, but you should use one. (maybe NAPA for a universal one?)
There are the universal type or some aftermarket clutch kits come with a specific one.
I've done it b4 without, but you have to be dead bang on.

Frankly, I've always had better luck doing it without. I will feel around the edge of the pressure plate and compare that to the edge of the clutch disc, and make sure it's even all the way around. When it's just right, I put the final tighten on the PP bolts. The weight of the disc on the alignment tool always seems to let it fall down a bit. At least, that's been my experience, but I don't do it every day, either.
