Almost anything can be used for lube, vaseline, motor oil, or a decent grease (I wouldn't use a 'moly' or anything that might have particles in it) will work. This is the return side, so it gets sent back to the tank,a nd whatever doesn't dissolve will eventually get picked up by the filter.

Ok cool thanks for the Info. I am tired of smellng deisel all the time and my crap gas mileage... Time to Change them out... Thanks!
I just used some motor oil when i did mine, id say just doing return lines would take maybe half an hour, may be more with a turbo.
Yeah I was thinking a little motor oil as well.... I am about to get started here in a min on doing them.. Had to go get a socket to change my glow plugs cause people dont know how to return tools..
Make sure the return caps are seated properly. When you tighten down the injector line, it should have about 2mm clearance with the plastic cap. I used a rubber mallet and a deep well socket to seat mine. Some people can push them down by hand but I can't.
I got them all put on... Took a little longer then I expected but I took my time and I was drinking a few beers...lol.. Once side was super easy(Drivers Side).. The other side was a bit harder with little space.. The hardest one was the one under the fuel filter.. No where to turn a wrench really... Anyways its done, I started it but Will do the test drive tomorrow. Thanks for the Help guys.. Ok I am black from Hands to elbows.. time for a shower....lol
Ya i will no has any ill try napa tomarrow. Is there a speical pair of pliers to put on o- rings so i dont damage them when im putting them on the injectors
