Do I need new shocks?

So my 2003 7.3 f350 has 92K on it now. Do I need new shocks due to age? If so what shocks do you recommend. It is not lifted and has 285's on it.
Thanks!

Yes you do! 92k is far past the design life of your factory origs. I recommend Bilstien lifetime warranty and excellent product

I had those shocks on my old 99 and were sort of pricey? Are there any in a higher than average shock that could be purchased at say a Lee Schwab or Firestone dealer, etc that you could recommend?

You will never buy them again and you will improve tire wear with the bilstiens so if you look at it that way they are the best bargain on the market!

If you have to ask "Do I need new shocks" then the answer is Yes.

This also applies to drinking and driving "Am I too drunk to drive" .. Yes

Sorry for the Semi Hijack, but do you need a different size shock if your truck is leveled? Im about to order shocks and want to make sure I get the right ones

Usually not but some times it can be beneficial ie. How much did the level actually raise you? Compared to how relaxed your suspension was? Will you be doing any heavy off road driving? Snow plowing? Cab-over camper? Any of those would compel me to order my shocks in the length over of the leveling kit, as the travel may be nessecary to maintain proper control!

Every Rancho shock I've used has been less than average. I've lost faith in them. Bilsteins are a greater upgrade.
