VERY NICE truck dude!!! SWEET!! Did you have leave springs before? I'd like a before and after comparison. I'm half way considering putting 4bar on my truck so I could "dial it in" to suit my self. One of my major problems I have is my gastank is a 25gallon fuel cell behind the rear axle and YES I had to do some major reworkin to get it in there. It sticks up in the floor of the bed and I've raised the the floor up a little bit in the very back to compensate for it, but the weight is at the very rear and makes it a little bouncy. I changed my original springs out for '95 S10 Blazer springs and its alot better but I didnt get it quite high enough and my C-notch is almost hitting the axle and I really need to make it higher in order to put a bump stop on it. Right now if I hit a really hard bump its just metal to metal and I only have about 2" of clearance. Some future mods need to be done, but I may go with an IRS? Not really sure right now? Looking foor opinions if you've had Leaves and 4 bar.
I DID have leave springs before.....flipped 9" rear and removed 2 or 3 of the leaves and had air shocks .....the ride was too stiff and bouncy and my back.....my old back...couldn't handle it. I went with a NoLimit 4 link and CNotch with QA CoilOvers and the ride is excellent. The CoilOvers have a lot of adjustment and the lower mounts on the 4 link allow for 3 different ride heights. Installation was easy altho as mentioned many times before; their Installation Instructions appear to be have drawn up by a 4th grader. Quality of parts is very good. They say that a Mustang Tank will fit with their 4 link; but I don't know how many gallon they are talking about.
Appreciate the compliments.
You have a beautfully done truck, but youve got the motor in backwards, isnt the distributer suposed to be in the front? LOL Sorry i couldent ressist, its beautifull, the two tone is very sharp. Very clean.

Thanks alot man, that gives me alot to think about. The 4bar is the easiest to install and I am currently runnin a 9" Ford in my truck. I still might do something different with the gas tank? Not sure as of yet, but I have a '56 panel to build before too many mods get done to the pickup. Its gettin mighty crowded in there on long trips. Thanks for the info and you've got a great lookin truck. Are you goin to be at the GSM?
No GSM for me this year.....too many irons in the fire and I am enjoying this 104 degree heat way too much !! ha ha Good luck with your rear suspension endevours....I'm sure you would be happy with a 4link as I am if you choose to do so.
TRuxx1956.....just another thought ....one thing about a gas tank behind the rear axle is that the 150 or so pounds of gasoline weight behind the axle may affect the ride to some degree....but then as the gas tank empties; the ride is constantly changing and I would imagine that the front alignment may be affected also. How much this weight changing affects everything; I really don't know from experience....or maybe it is insignificant. Perhaps someone with experience will chime in here.
