Delayed check engine light

help!!!! I have an 94 explorer with a 4.o v6 and I am getting an check engine light after about 3-4 minuets of driving. has anyone had this problem? any clue where to start?

You start by asking the truck's computer what the problem is. Someone else just asked how to do this, and there are several good links there on how to do it.

Delayed check engine light

Since it's a '94, you have EECIV diagnostics vs. OBDII. You could buy a reader(about $50) and pull the codes yourself, or go to an auto supplier such as Autozone and get them to pull the codes. Many suppliers will pull the codes for free. Make sure they write down ALL the codes. Sometimes, they may try and sell you the wrong part.
