Real MPG.

Just towed a 7,000 lb Airstream form Texas to Key west Florida and didn't go over 65mph. I got 13.2 MPG.

No magical numbers. Had latest Flash and thats it. It is better than my 2007 6.0, though. I got 10 mpg on the same trip last year, but I did drive a little faster.

thats pretty impressive for moving 7k right along down the hwy Shane.
running trucks empty and getting 20 is still pretty bad cus a car can do that and push 30+ today on lower cost fuel to boot.
working the truck like its made for and recording those mpg's.....now thats what matters.

With the 3.31 and 7,000 lbs, I believe it.

I recently hit 23mpg hand calculated running 50-55mph on a 115 mile round trip. You can see my mpg for each tank full of fuel in my spreadsheet. Link in sig.

I just got 12.4 mpg pulling my mini excavator up to Bear Lake and back over serveral 8000 foot passes. and that load is around 11,000 lbs. So it doesn't surprise me to see something as streamline as a 7000lb airstream get 13+ on flat land

Okkeee Dookey, guys. Thanks for the replies. I have heard some outragous accusations of 23 mpg even 27 mpg towing airstreams. Just looking for some solidarity among real numbers. I'm happy with what I GOT. Little better than than the 6.0. But Empty and and just driving, AND NOT DRIVING OVER 60MPH, I CAN GET CLOSE TO 21MPG....But who goes that slow...LOL. Speed KIlls these 6.7's in the mpg area.

Love my ride...20,000 miles and still in Marital Bliss.

Towed 8000+ pounds for 667 miles over the holiday. I averaged 10.6 MPG on the lie-o-meter. I did about 300 miles at 75/76 MPH sitting between 1700 and 1800 RPM's. Another 300 miles at 60 MPH doing roughly 1500 RPM's. the remaining was stop and go around small towns and home.
