Are the frames of an '68 F100 and "68 F250 the same? I want to convert my F250 to a half ton so I can lower it. Otherwise, does anyone know how I can lower my truck without switching everything out? I want to drop it 1 to 2 inches front and 2 to 3 inches in the rear. I found an F100 that I can buy pretty cheap but I want to make sure its possible first.

The difference if any will be minute you should be just fine using the frame. There is a very large difference below the frame is very real from the springs to axles etc.
Yup, mounting points are the same, but F250 has 10gauge frame while the F100 has a 12gauge frame (.102" vs .081" thickness). A 69 F250 longbed is still only about 4500lbs.
I guess so. Ive called around to find a lowering kit for the 250 but no one makes it. What would be the difference in the 100? There are plenty of options for lowering kits for those. I thought about cutting the springs but I dont want my wheels to ride on the inside of the tire. The rear is easy to lower
If you just want an inch to inch and a half you can just take a coil off the springs. Find a good old school alignment shop that can bend I-beams to restore your camber. If you want more the 3" drop I-beams will fit the F250.
I just bought a '67 F250. The guy included a rear lowering shackle kit. He didn't install it, but did include it with the sale. Superior Automotive, P/N 13-4100, lowers it 2". I think it's only about 50 bucks at Kragen's or Napa. The box says it's only for newer half-tons, but if it's the wrong part, they probably have an equivalent for the older 3/4 ton trucks.
Anyway, just an option (it's cheaper and easier than buying a new frame). Dunno what you'd do for the front end, though.
To 4x4jedi, my '67 is also a 2wd Camper Special, so at least one of 'em got off the assembly line without a transfer case and front differential. Dang, I _knew_ they forgot something!
