Can't be any worse then driving the Subaru joking, anyways it could have been worse, like your truck catching on fire and having to walk those 50 miles back to your house then start pouring rain and now your cold and hungry once you got home you find your wife with another man.....see it could be worse
Blower motor is SMOKED!!!! Everything else checked out fine, so pulled the motor out to check it and bingo!! Heavy burnt electrical odor and the shaft barely turns. Had it bench tested at work by the electrical gu-ru and he confirmed it's shot. I ordered a new assembly online. I'll report back once it's in and (hopefully) blowing air. Heck, it lasted almost 10 years, so I can't complain about that!
Only other thing I saw that bothers me is the inside of the motor assembly is really rusty and some water dripped out of the screw holes when I initially removed the blower assembly from the truck. I've heard about a water leak on the Expeditions around the windshield but I haven't really noticed water on my floor after a rainstorm. Ideas??
