Edge insight mounting suggestions.
Can someone tell me how long the cable is for the insight? I've got a couple mounting toughts but skept if the cable will be long enough. My 1st option is over head. Anybody mind posting your insight mounted to give me some ideas? Anybody using a pod. I haven't really found any. I've found some that's for the attude and you have o have an adapter for the insight.

I'm using the pod from Edge for my Insight CTS in my 2004 F-250 and am happy with it's function and appearance. The adapter for the pod is just a plastic plate that slides onto the mounting tabs of the Insight and creates a snug fit onto the pod. The cable is NOT long enough to do an overhead mount.

It would definetley have to be on the drivers side somewhere. There isn't enough cable to give you too many options really. I used velcro on mine and mounted it above the vent on the drivers side.

I mounted mine over the recess/pocket in the dashboard to the right of the steering column. Used the L shaped mounting bracket to fix it to the bottom edge of the recess.
Drilled a hole in the back of the pocket to route the wires from behind the dash without being seen.

Good ideas sammy and paul. Thanks for the info Tampa. My insight is on the way. My kids ordered it and the company sent me an email. It said happy father's day and confermed the order. I dont know how that happened. Lol

Man I'm a retard. I figured out hiw I got the email. My wife actually ordered the insight. They sent her a confirm email and she forwarded it to me and titled it Happy Fathers day. Duhhhhhh.

Here is a picture more from the drivers view. I mounted it in a mount that edge sells. You can see the mount a little in this picture. Had to use an adapter for the CTS, not sure if the CS needs one. The mount in the pillar is cool but I didnt want to lose my handle.

@ exiled, no it points straight. It is not angled at all. It would be nice if that mount pointed/angled towards the drivers seat but it doesnt. I can read it just fine while driving. Hope you find a mount that fits.

I'm sure you can, you just have to figure out a way to mount it.
