Only question I have is why a 6 cell Mag Lite? I have a 2 cell and it is all the light I need. If you are using it for protection instead of a baseball bat, I will do you one better just put a 357 Mag in the side pocket....
Is the LED really better than the bulb? I have used LED flashlights, and they seem to produce less USABLE light.
The LED used in a Maglite is not your standard LED and are extremely bright compared to the standard Krypton bulb Maglite. However, the problem I have with both my 4 cell, and occasionally my mini LED Maglite, is that they like to flicker on and off a lot even though they are brand new and have no corrosion on the battery spring. In fact, my first 3 Cell LED actually died after 2 weeks of use and I've been procrastinating sending it back to Maglite for warranty repair. Part of me wishes I had just replaced my old standard Maglite with another standard one even though the LED ones are much brighter and have better battery life. By the way, never leave your Maglite sitting around long enough for the batteries to leak; I've lost two Maglites now that way since the batteries will NOT come out once they have swelled up.
After having my Maglite floating all over the truck on my last camping trip though, I think I'm going to buy some of these clips.

I sent my last 6 cell back to Duracell after they leaked and they sent me a full retail check for a new 6 cell with a coupon for replacement batteries and enough over the actual price to buy the LED option.

If you buy the LED maglite (Not a regular mag lite and add an LED) it is WAY brighter than an incandescent, however it still comes with an incandescent spare bulb.
I have these maglite mounts and am ready to install but I am weary of using the screws provided and just tapping them into the plastic... is that what you guys did? Does it hold well over time?
I have had my 06 F250 for under a month and I don't want to do anything I will regret (i.e. having 4 hogged out / stripped holes in the seat belt hump).

I haven't had mine in long, but I pull mine up to remove it, so that might limit the chance of pulling it out and stripping it.
