Unhappy 1988 F250

My good ole truck started acting up. It is a 460 with TBI, dual tanks, etc. It will randomly die! Seems to start after a bit of jostling steering column (tilt), waiting,.... What is odd is that gas gauge starts acting erratically, then it dies. Thought was running out of gas and when switch tanks, act it starts. Getting worse now, so can't really get more than 1/2 mile from home and harder to start each time. I think ignition switch, but also be gas tank selector switch. Does anyone know if/how fuel pumps function? I don't even know if in tank or external. ANY AND ALL HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED! Please feel free to email at rogerasay@yahoo.com.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...mp-wiring.html Click on this link and read the post by Subford for a wiring diagram. You should have a pump in each tank plus a high press. one on the frame rail (assuming you have EFI).
The ign switch is bolted (two bolts) to the top of the steering column under the dash.
Hopefully some of the electrical experts will give an opinion soon.
Good luck.
