You called it If you get into it to do the universals dont forget to do the spindle berrings they are a needle berring inside the spindals . If you have bin driveing the truck you allready know if it needs work
Beat the snot out of it and see how it holds up to let me know if I should do it :B
I don't want oversize tires, I don't want to go nuts off road. I just want to be able to go in the snow and ice in a dually. The D50 should be up to this.
I have had 33 in tires on my 94 EXT cab 4x4 since I did the front end in 04 with no problems I dont go nuts off road any more its to expensive these days and stock trucks arnt ment to fly this I know from expirence they brake when they land LOL
id replace balljoints, ujoint all rubber bushings, wheel bearings,brakes.. pretty much everything. might as well do it right the first time.
maybe some warn premium hubs too
x2 There's no reason to not do all of that stuff while it's out of the truck. If you don't have the cash now I'd wait since your rig runs well and accrue everything you need. I've got poly bushings in mine now and like them a lot. Don't for get the center beam pivot bushing too. I have auto hubs and they're pretty nice. I understand everyone's affinity for manuals but I've never had an issue one out of mine. Check your PMs.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!! Aww come on Chase. Ain't nothing wrong with a TTB.
Well I got the engine out of the '87 and looking at the crossmember it looks like I would have to at LEAST lift up the motor if not remove it to bolt in all the center brackets for the D50...
I think I'll sell the '87 whole and save up for a D60 instead... I'll just need to come up with front springs, shackles, and the rear brackets for it.
