Camber adjustment kit

The alignment shop I went to wants to charge $80, plus labor naturally, for the camber adjustment kit. I would like to save the money and install it myself before I get the truck aligned.

Can I just raise the truck, remove the wheel (with the weight off the suspension), then remove/replace the upper control arm bolts with the camber adjustment kit? Or do I need to do more?

Camber kit

Not sure they can tell if you definitely will need it until they actually check the alignment.

You can do it yourself, pretty much as you described. But first I would check with another alignment shop, maybe you don't really need one installed at all.

There is noticeable tire wear on the left front tire on the inside inch or so. I will head out there myself and see if the kit is there or not. I know how deceiving some shops can be.
