I'm looking into possibly getting some mud tires for my 2wd 2007 f150. I'm not too sure if 265/70 R17 will fit without rubbing (please tell me if they would), so I am trying to find some 255s. I'm pretty sure they would fit no problem, right? It doesn't look like 255 is a popular size, so if anyone has any suggestions on 255 mud tires, please tell me.
I've got an '07 4WD with factory 17's.
Don't know how much it varies from 2WD.
I put BFG All-Terrain's on it, 265/75.
Either TireRack.com or BF Goodrich has a chart online showing actual diameters and widths.
I found a chart type thing, and I followed the instructions and it just gave me options for tires the same size as mine, just more mud oriented.
Would that be a better thing to get than big *** mud tires? I mean get same size tires, just bigger grooves? The idea of getting smaller tires is growing on me, mainly because they will do everything I would need them to (which is more than stock tires), and they are $70 less than the 265s I was looking at, and I know they will fit.
