How to clear codes?

Could some please help direct me as to how to clear codes without a scanner? I've been searching for awhile now, and I've been unable to find the info.

The 1995 F150 has three codes, but I don't know how old they are.
I've never had to try clear them to verify they are current.

Thanks

Pull a battery cable and leave it unhooked for a while

I pulled the battery cable for 30 minutes, and that still didn't clear them.
Seems like a long time doesn't it?

Which codes If they are KOEO or KOER codes and you haven't corrected the issues the codes will reappear once power is restored and the self test is ran again. CM codes will be gone, reappearing again if condition not corrected after a short test drive.

You don't want to disconnect the battery to clear codes and that isn't the proper way to do it. Doing so looses its adaptive strategies its worked out over a period of time. It will have to start over from scratch once that is lost, doesn't help when trying to diagnose a problem either.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, haven't used the jumper method in a long time, use a Innova 3145. To clear the codes allow the self test to begin then remove the jumper wire.
