MY TRUCK WOULDNT START AND I THOUGHT MY PUMPS WERE OUT. THE PLUG TO THE FRONT GAS TANK HAS A WEAK SIGNAL WHEN I PUT THE TESTER TO IT, THE INERTIA AND FUEL SELECTOR SWITCH HAVE NO POWER. THE RELAY HAS I THINK 4 TEETH AND I PUT THE TESTER TO THE THE 4 HOLES AND 3 LIT UP, SO I TAKE IT THE BLUE/WHITE HAS A SHORT.SO SHOULD I REPLACE THE WHOLE WIRE OR SPLICE IT TO THE ONE HAS POWER IN THE OTHER RELAY., HELP, DAMN TRUCK ACTS LIKE IT HAS NO GAS.
What are you working on?
If it is your 1994 then there is not a Blue/White at either the Power relay or the fuel pump relay.
Any relay is going to have at least one wire (ground) with no power on it.
Does the relay click when the key is turned on and drop out one second later?
YES THERE IS A CLICK AND I REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP YET IT DOESNT BUZZ LIKE IT SHOULD. THE INERTIA AND SELECTOR PLUG HAVE NO FIRE BUT THE RELAY DOES.THE TESTER LIGHT SHOWS A WEAK LIGHT WHEN U PUT IT IN THE FUEL PLUD ON THE TANK.
Ground Pin #6 of the EEC self-test plug and tun on the key.
Check for power at the Inertia switch (both wires).
Also try pushing the button down on top of the Inertia switch.
I guess you will then have to check for power at C202, the safety wall plug.
Keep that pin #6 grounded with the key on and use a test light if you can.
