Patient is my 06, 6.0 it has 136,000 miles. I replaced the water pump about 3 weeks ago, it was leaking out the bottom weep hole. The EGR valve was replaced at 47,000. This week it started losing coolant but it doesn’t leak out to the ground, no “Puking” No drips no runs no errors. Apparently it’s coming out the Exhaust a little white smoke at times. It loses about 1 gallon every 100 miles.
I bought the truck new, I put a programmer on it for about 3 weeks about 3 or4 years ago for a Fuel mileage experiment, took it off because it didn't increase fuel mileage. The truck has never really given me any real problems.
for the price its a great unit and has saved me and alot of other folks on here
it will do eot, ect, ficm, ipr, icp, volt, boost, map and a bunch more
I was able to see my oil cooler and it was starting to plug I was able to change it before it poped and make a big mess
the newer trucks usually blow the egr cooler like yours before the oil cooler pops
you need to change both the egr cooler and the oil cooler
you can also upgrade the egr cooler to a BPD one which is what most people do that have the square cooler such as yourself
Have you sniffed the exhaust to see if it smells sweet or like diesel? With that much coolant loss it should be readily apparent. Moisture in the intake or not it still presents as an EGR cooler. It's possible you're just keeping it burned off too, especially if you're using your truck a lot, and you didn't say anything about leaks on the ground. Do you have a way to check difference in ECT and EOT?

I don't have the truck at hand. One of my workers is driving it. It's being Driven a lot less lately, 3 miles one way then back to his house in the evening. The Job site is a lot closer to his house then my shop so he is driving it from his house instead of the 25 miles one way from my shop. It saves about $75.00 a week in fuel for me and most likely about the same for him.
He said there is no water leaking and it's smoking white some.
I going to go swap it out with my 05 this afternoon.
Like everyone else, I'm willing to bet that it's an EGR cooler from the sound of it.
I find it funny that you think that this is your first possible problem, when you have had posts on other "problems" as well. Yes I do have a long memory for this type of thing. Although I'm sure on your end all your going to see is something along the lines of post blocked due to user on ignore list.
Ok, Put Sinister EGR Delete on. It doesn't leak and I think seat of the pants it may be slightly quicker on the bottem end! One problem though, The AC doesn't work now! Any Ideas!
The mech prob forgot to attach a vacuum hose.....is the air coming out of the defrost vent instead of dash vents? If so, that's most likely the problem.
If the truck has 4 wheel drive, (shift on the fly) that prob doesn't work either.....

No, it's coming out of the dash vents. It is 4X4, The AC clutch is not coming on.
