Question BII Clutch Problem

While starting the clutch change, I ran into a road block tring to remove the two bolts at the top of the bell housing. Removing them from under the hood has little access room. Any ideas?

BII Clutch Problem

Have you tried loosening the motor mounts and jacking up the engine a bit? Mine has no a/c so it was not a problem getting to those bolts. I think I actually go to one of them though from the bottom with a couple swivals and a long extension or something....you just have to hold your mouth JUST right sometimes and they will come loose. good luck.

I thought you could do that but let things hang down a bit.

BII Clutch Problem

I got them with an extra long box end wrench from above with a "cheater". Thanx

You can also get to them from underneath if you have a long enough extension and a universal. You might want to consider this option when putting your tranny back in.

I bought a few feet of 1/2 inch square tubing when I pulled my tranny. It's cheap and you can cut it to any length you want and use it for an extension. Just some more food for thought. Good luck.
