Preventative maintenance
Preventative maintenance
Got some PM done on the Aviator this week.
After reading and hearing about troubles with the 5r55 tranny (mine is fine), and rear differential, I got the fluids in both of those changed, dropped the tranny pan and there was no junk in the bottom of it.
The diffy isn't howling at all, but I thought I could prevent trouble with fluid changes.
Also got the coolant flushed out and changed, and a fuel filter.
This is at 53,000 miles, I'll do it again at around 100,000 miles.
But I did have to get an electric window motor replaced. I guess I can be thankful that's the only one I had to have done. My neighbours have to get one done every year on their Caddy.
Where is the fuse panel on these vehicles?
