I would not leave the tee in the system and you still need to end up with distilled water when done. I think you would still remove the thermostat. But maybe using this would get the junk out with less hassle and then you could rig up a 5 gallon (or bigger) container to it and use it to install the distilled water to the cooling system. Has anybody ever tried this on the 6.0? If so how did it work. What does everybody think about this?
I have used that kit on many cars and it seemed to work good. I liked the idea of the flush going backwards to the normal coolant flow. Seems like it would work the same on a 6.0 ?
yes at the very end but all of the nasty stuff would come out the overflow bottle and you could keep it going untill it was clear then flush with distilled water.
Might be worth a shot. I just ordered a Sinister bypass filter kit and have most of the other stuff to go with it. I would like to be doing it this weekend but kit comes in Monday. You got me thinking now...
Thats why I am bringing this up. I am getting ready to do studs, bpd egr cooler, oil cooler later this month and I want to flush it out good before I start this project and I also plan on either having the radiator rodded or replace it at the same time do to the fact if I put a load on the truck it pucks. So if you do it this weekend let me know how it works please.
