i just pulled the codes on my truck and i am still getting code 122 map sensor vacuum leak. i replaced the sensor and still get the code the vacuum line looks good. so now where do i look? also will this cause a cel and rough idle/staling while at idle? i had my upper intake off not long ago to replace the pcv and put a new gasket on the intake would that have any thing to do with it?
i was thinking 122 was map sensor but i was wrong, now with the correct question i replaced the tps and still get the code. i installed it correct with setting it on and rotating till the screw holes line up and tighten them.

Did you check for proper reference voltage from the PCM? Should be approximately 5v. If for some reason its really low or non existent due to a pinched/cut wire or a corroded connection you wouldn't get the required min sig return voltage and it throw that code with a good TPS.
i just checked it, on the black wire i have 1.4ohms, orange wire has 5.05v and green wire has .09-4.21v with a steady increase to wot and decrease to closed position. so that means i got a faulty tps right?
i dont remember i am pretty shure i put every thing back to its original location except the pcv vacuum line. where should i look for it? i had this code before i pulled it off tho. my truck has been doing the same thing since i got it not running/idleing right. i am at wits end with it. at least i got it down to one unexplained code that i cant figure out.
Left side of the Intake manifold lower mid way about. There's also a ground wire on the hood left hinge. Those are the ones I can think of that could have possible been dis connected.
I would do a resistance check from the PCM harness to the TPS connector. Also, was the battery disconnected for a period longer than 5 minutes when doing the repair work?
I would check Reference voltage cold and then after the engine has reached operating temperature. Also, has the Throttle position Screw been adjusted from Factory setting?
