Go look at ANY regular cab or crew cab super duty truck? OK did you look and what did you see? no rust, no paint missing right its because the cab doesn't flex making the doors rub against everything. I LOVE my truck but i will NEVER buy another ext cab as long as i live!
My reg cab has the same problem.

really guys? i stop and talk to every SD owner i see at gas stations and such and i have never seen a reg cab or crew cab truck have peeling paint like my ext cab does? even my dads 2000 crew cab diesel doors look brand new on the seal side, no rubbing, rust or squeaks. now that im thinking of it my buddies 2002 crew cab doesnt do it either, nor does my uncles 99 f-250 work truck. And the 99 is beat to death!

Well my 04 CC just came out of the body shop for this exact issue, makes me sick, as much as I try to take care of it. The front doors do it so bad in the front corner by the mirror, that it works its way around to the outside.

I had this issue and figured it out. Was looking around to see what was in there to be making the rubber seal abrasive and if you don't wash your truck enough all the dust and dirt lays in there. I took a piece of 2000 grit sand paper and run it over the rubber seal until my arm was ready to fall off.... If you think rubber can't be polished think again LOL. After I did this I taped off the back side of the door and gave it a shot of bed liner. The rubberized liner has enough give in it that it doesn't chip like acrylic paint so those trying new things give this a try and giver hell. Oh and another point who cares what color the inside of the door is you don't see it from the outside when the door is closed
