I would really like to see a 3/4 ton+ truck with a Ranch Hand full replacement front bumper installed; crashed into the offset barrier that the IIHS uses at 40 mph. I want to see what damage is done vs. that of the factory bumper. The only test I have read about the IIHS doing on 3/4+ trucks were Dodges. They consider the F-150 a "large" truck, and that seems to be as far as they go in truck testing.
I would imagine they did. The truck was not under the roof except by a few inches. The truck didn't get crushed, just clipped. Just scared the hell out of them I would bet. I would hate to talk to the insurance company about that one.
Hell, I am a Libertarian, and I still think that there should be some kind of idiot test to pull something that big on the road with others. If you need a motorcycle license, it just follows common sense to limit what trailers can be hauled by weight and dimensions without passing a basic idiocy test. They should install something like the reverse sensors on the front of those. Who in the hell engineered that drive through?
It's a gas station. It's designed for cars and trucks not fifth wheel trailers. If you ever go to a truck stop notice how the diesel pumps have a higher roof.

I didn't get any pics but we worked a wreck today involving a '99 Dodge Ram 3500 and a 2001 Escort. Totaled the Escort and the Ram had about $500 damage.....head-on collision and the Ram had a Ranch Hand on the front. We've worked other wrecks involving trucks with Ranch Hands and they've held up comparable to the one today. Sturdy for sure.

You're correct, it was a bank. This one's been around for a while. Here are some still photos of it:
A Ranch Hand bumper would have made all the differance in the world
Whoever designed that drivethrough is as big an idiot as the 5ver driver. Come on , one bang and the whole thing drops? What ? Was it made in China?
