that would be horrible. my 86 k10 has 3.08 gears, and 31" tires.
imagine a 350, with a 650 cfm carb with the equivalent of 2.78 or 2.88 gears. GAS PIG. lol. my 94 f150 was the same way, with 3.08 gears.

I have 3.08 with 33s.....it is not really too bad ....pulls them well actually.....if the 5spd trans had a deeper 1st gear ratio it would be better

Just upgraded from 29s to 32s. After seeing this thread, I checked my gear ratio. I was surprised to find 8.8 with 2.47 gears.
