Code P0299 Turbo Underboost

can anyone help me out with this code P0299 i have read in the forums and see alot of different issue on this

so now i really hate going to the dealer but if i have no choice then i dont,, so i come to you the experts for some help

i have a 2004 f350 superduty 6.0 4x4 with afe air intake, edge with atitude, since i bought it brand new no problems except the egr cooler ouch!!! lol,, i have 106000 mi on it!! is the turbo still under warranty i dont have the extended warranty i had 5yr 100000 what kind of damage am i looking at $$$$ is there another way to fix this???

It needs cleaned, I was told to drive it like you stole it and it helped but I still had it pulled and cleaned.

p0299 caN be caused by lots of stuff

do you still have the stock air intake its a good one
is the air filter clean

start with the easy like cac boots check for hole,
can you hear any hiss/air leak Ypipe flex joint area
check cac tube if its a plasic one may have a crack
clean turbo

can you monitor vgt and boost psi

and welcome to FTE lots of great info check the tech folder too
