Hooray!!!! an easy math question for a change. just passed 1000 hours and just short of 34,000 miles. So 34,000 x 1000 = 34,000,000 MPH. Man I'm sure glad I didn't quit school until 12th grade.

34,000,000 MPH is impressive, is that with your fifth wheel behind or unloaded? haha Sorry Stanley, I had to go there
Mine totals 103,886km and 1449hrs for a total of 44.81 MPH. I expected this to be higher because I do a lot of highway driving at around 80-85 MPH.

Now wait a minute, isn't that KPH? Or did you do the conversion. I can't find am abacus to check.
clearly iv been incorrectly recording my fuel economy records with a 45 mph avg speed i guess.
i pretty much peak at 45. so i guess my average must look something like 30.hmm.
Mine had 19xx hrs on it when I bought it at 100,000 miles......so average in the mid 50mph range. (It was a dealer-ship owned car-hauler, all highway miles).
Now I'm at 28xx hrs with 125,000 miles on the clock. 45 mph-ish average now
I bought mine about two weeks ago. I saw this read and found out the engine time. I have 21700 miles with 891 engine hours. So 21700/891 is 24.35 MPH.
I am not sure what the previous owner did, but right now this is my only vehicle and I drive only about 3 miles max to and from work. I started taking the long route that includes hopping on two freeways and adding about 4 more miles to the trip. Not sure what to do really.
Short trips like that will likely result in more frequent regens.
I'm 'fortunate' I commute an average of 30-40miles a day with stop-and-go 30-45mph sections. Sometimes I get stuck behind lights for 3-4 red-light cycles because traffic sux. About 1/3 of that is freeway, assuming it isn't jammed.
I have also started to delay regen by putting the truck in park or neutral if I'm stuck behind long lights, or I'm a couple of miles away from home. I find myself finding excuses to make road trips like going to lunch/dinner with the wife at a favorite restaurant 1hr away when the truck is majorly constipated like that. It's such a PITA
If you start a regen, avoid it doing it on short trips as yours. It'll never end since the exhaust will never get hot enough long enough to do any good. You'll need to get it out on the freeway for at least 15-20minutes. If I'm in my slow traffic, it'll regen for 40-45minutes. That gets expensive.
