I have a 3L55 tag on my rear end of my 1996 f-150 but it appears that my front end is a DANA 3.54. Could this be correct? I need new outer yokes and spindles but I can't find the yokes so I am considering buying a used front axle from a 1995 bronco. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

That would be correct. It's very common and quite normal for the front gear ratio to be slightly numerically lower than the rear.
