Greetings:
Have 1984 3/4 ton that had the diesel engine and 4 speed trans
Plan to put in a 351m/C6 combo. The 351 came out of 1980 F150
with C6.
Will I need to change speedo gear to be get a true reading. My guess is that the Diesel rear in the F250 is of a higher ratio than what was in the F150.
The C6 is going to have to be overhauled, should I go with any special mods to the valve body? Plan to go with HD frictions already.
Ok, just an odd ball question. is the rear in the 1980 F150 a 9" and is is worth anything? By that I mean if it is a 9" is it the kind that hot rodders want for their projects.
