Just bought a 2011 F150 could not find the card with the code. Went by the dealer and they wanted to charge me $49 to scan the system. I almost went ahead with it but it was an hour wait. Came back home found this forum and what do you know, the dealer was trying to make a few $$$. Sad you would think they would learn to take care of the customer and that will build loyalty for future service!
I know this is an old thread, but I am having some trouble locating this sticker. I have read on other threads that it is located on the fuse box, but I am not able to locate it anywhere. Maybe I'm missing something... Any more info would be appreciated.
I crawled under there for over a half hour looking for that damn sticker. I see a the fuse box down there and a bunch of wires, but no sticker. I can't see them moving it for the FX2 model. I'll just have to go to the dealership.

You have to remove the kick panel, its just held on with clips, not under the dash.
I did that. I removed all of the panels on the passenger side and the glove box and looked at every part with a flashlight. Not sure if the sticker fell off at some point or just isn't there for me.
If I decide to go digging again I'll take a photo. Maybe I'm missing something.
I'm wondering how important it is to change that code. Even if you change it, the original will still work. So I guess the change is so you can remember it easier?

Your right. It's just so you can change it to something that can be remembered a lot easier. You can actually have a couple different codes I think.

There is one other spot they put the code. I doubt they used this location for 09+ but you could give it a shot. They used to put it behind the radio.
I wanted to pass along that the code is behind the passenger kick panel on the 2013 Super Crew as well. The five digit code is there, followed by an L. If it weren't for threads like these I probably would have been spending the coin a the dealer to find something that took less than five minutes and no tools, with the exception of a flashlight, my left hand to pop off the panel and my eyes to see.
Note: You will need to have two programmed passive anti-theft keys for
this procedure.
To display the factory set code in the information display:
1. Insert a key into the ignition and turn the ignition on for a few
seconds.
2. Turn the ignition off and remove the key.
3. Insert the second key into the ignition and turn the ignition on.
The factory set code will display for a few seconds.
Note: The code may not display until after any other warning messages
first display.
This place and youtube rule. I just bought a 2014 150 XLT and of course there wasn't the card with the code on it with the owners manual. Called the dealer and they wanted $75 to scan for it. Wonder if they really do or just say they did, as after seeing it on youtube and reading about it here it took me maybe five minutes to find it with now tools except a flashlight. Just saved half a day and $75! Thanks all.
