Odd sounds when shifting.
Have had this odd sound the last couple of weeks coming from somewhere underneath.
When the excursion upshifts from 3rd to 4th it makes this "brrrrrrrrut" sound. What is odd it is only when she is not under load or accelerating. What I mean is when on a a curvy road as you let off through mid corner and start back on the gas it makes the sound. It occurs when coasting and then back on the gas. It lasts maybe 1 second.
What's interesting is, it does not occur under hard shifts from hard acceleration or while towing. That puts me at ease a little as the tranny seems to shift fine.
I have new ujoints and that didn't change anything. It seems more than a rattle (heat shield or something) as it can be felt through the floorboard.
Any ideas? I know kind of hard to diagnose but maybe someone has had the same experience?
