Hello folks, My name is James and I own two F-150's. A 1992 and a 1981 both with 302/auto. I have in the past owned a 1980 Bronco w/351M and C6.

I've had the 92 for about three years and it had 206,000 miles on it when I got it. It now has 218,000 miles after recently taking a 1000 mile round trip to haul a car back here for a relative.

I acquired the 81 in Jan for free. odo shows 75,000 but it might be 175,000.

The a/c still works on both!

I recently worked on the 81 to get it into service, and it is turning out to run as good as my 92 and is possibly quieter (as far as chassis noise) than my 92. It even has a brand new exhaust because the PO was trying to get rid of an exhaust leak that was actually the air injection tube that had rotted away.

I look forward to sharing my ideas in the future and finding out what I might need to look for to accomplish these ideas as painlessly as possible.

Welcome! And, I understand "Weskan" as Garden is west to this Ark City boy - although I now live in Okiehoma.

There certainly are a lot of knowledgeable & friendly people on this forum. They've helped me a bunch and generally don't point out how stupid some of my questions can be. So, jump right in and start posting as they won't bite.

Didn't want to scare him off so wasn't going to tell him about the teeth marks. We need all the fresh blood we can get.

I've already learned a thing or two just browsing on here, and when I get around to changing things up on one of them that isn't covered here, I'll post up a ?.

As far as biting goes, I need to start losing weight anyway--so don't just leave teeth marks, OK?

The dash is shot. I might try to rehab it later on. The rusted out area is in the rear corner and the tracks under the sill plates are rusted out on both sides.

Wow, that really good for free! Not sure which of us has the best hood - mine is losing paint AND is bent. I have more paint than you do but yours is straighter than mine.

As for the interior, your dash pad is worse than mine as the KS sunshine has eaten it, but your woodgrain on the dash is much better than mine.

Anyway, you've come to the right place for help. Almost anything you consider doing there is someone(s) that has done it.

The engine bay, minus the inoperable AIR system. The A/C does work, just needs a little shot of R-12 to get it colder.

So this is what a polished turd looks like, in case you ever wondered. It was a good test for the powerball polisher I just bought.

What's the extra wiring on the driver's side front fender liner for? The stuff ahead of the DSII module.
