Im not sure if im posting this in the right place...But the guy i bought my truck off of had duct tape all over the arm rest pads, and i went to take it off and all it left was a HUGE sticky mess .
I've tried just about everthing, goo gone, oven cleaner, razor blade trying to scrap it off, and some other stuff and the sticky mess it still on there. Does any body have any suggestions of how to get it off.
That is some nasty stuff to remove and can differ with diferent brands of duct tape. Try WD40, or alcohol. If those don't work try some acetone, but that may attack the plastic also...
I've used WD-40 with good success. Let it soak and repeat several times.
I have heard, but never tried, vegetable oil.
I'd guess motor oil might work also.
What about Kerosene?
How about a blow torch?
thank you guys for the posts i found out that the wd40 took it off nicely after 3 or 4 times trying and it left a nice smell of wd40 on my arm rests lol
