Headlight problem

You can cut the plugs off and use butt connectors to put the 94 plugs on (the wiring colors should be the same) but I usually just swap the pins over inside the plug. Let me know if you dont have access to a later model to check which pin is which and I will try and get a diagram up for you.

i still have the truck i took the 94 front end off off so i just just the sockets off there and but connecter them onto mine and all works well again..i just didnt think any thing of it seein how the connectors were the same and the bulb fit, never thought the wires would be in a different order..thanks

i figured well hey they fit the socket im alright then i see i have a problem i knew L.WARD did the same swap i didnt so i figured id ask him and he explain it awesomely..im lost when it comes to electrical on these trucks..build the motor all day long but the electrical stumps me.

Make sure you use good WEATHERPROOF scotchlock style heatshrink butt connectors. The plain non-heatshrink ones will eventually corrode out and cause you issues.
