1988 Ford F-150 4X4 5.0 A/C

Hello Everyone,

I had my A/C worked on a number of years ago (10 - 12) and it lasted for about 3 days. Well, I'm thinking now that I would like to get it working again. What do I need to do to recharge this system. I am 99% sure it is still set up for R12. I bought a kit (hose and 134) to recharge my daughters 1996 Neon and it worked great. The problem is the hose doesn't fit the truck. I suppose that is because it is still the R12 fittings and the new hose is for 134. Accually I just need to know what I need to do to charge the system. I want to put in a can of sealer and then 134 and see if it holds. Can I do this and what do I need to know?

Thanks and Have a great Day,
Todd
