So, here's what I've been spending most of my weekend time on. Learning all kinds of fun things about gardening between the maintenance, picking, canning & freezing (not me, the veggie's). Its to friggin hot for me to be freezing.

The garden is definately huge 40' x 50' and we're discussing expanding it for next season. I don't mind so much since I hayed the whole thing over. It cuts down on all of my weeding and helps retain water too.
Funny how this worked out though. It started because I had too many tomato plants on his concrete in front of the shop last summer. Next thing I know, he's on the tractor plowing down an area for a garden and it just kept getting bigger. Last year (our first) was a bitch because I planted too late and I didn't know about being able to hay it all so the weeds took over. And for some reason I get to do all the haying, planting, picking & cooking/canning/storing. Steve was kind enough to go pick up the bale of hay for me though.
