Help ID this tailgate?

My buddy in Kentucky found this underneath his rental house. It looks to me like it would be a 50's vintage but I'm sure no expert...... Anybody tell us for sure? Would measurements be required?

Looks like 61-63 Unibody type.....if so, it's worth some cash. They are very hard to find in that shape. Post your pic on the slick 61-66 forum.....

Actually, I think that belongs to an Econoline pickup.

Yeah, I think you are right, my mistake....I was going by the tall thin FORD letters and the top edge......still a rare piece.

52 Merc nailed it: 1961/67 Econoline pickup tailgate, but...there are two different types:

C2UZ-8740702-A .. Econoline Pickup "High" Tailgate: 50 3/4" x 23 1/2" / Obsolete

C2UZ-8740702-B .. Econoline Pickup "Low" Tailgate: 50 3/4" x 19 1/2" / Obsolete

Both these Econoline tailgates are very hard to find, no one is reproducing them. Worth 5 bills EZ, prolly more to the 'right' person.

Is this tailgate still around? Is it for sale? Thanks
