I thought it would go from the 6637 to the turbo but the opening on the turbo is alot smaller then 4 in thats why I was asking if the bootie on the turbo side would be a drop down size so it can hook up to the turbo. I would rather have it go from the filter to the turbo.
Ok, let me see what I can get done here. If it is something I can get done in the next couple weeks I will get it on the site so you can reserve your place. What colors does everyone want the most for the powdercoating?
It will go from the filter to the factory turbo boot or Garrett either way.
[quote=VegasFordSD;10416987]would this eliminate the ccv return? I have my ccv mod plumbed back into the intake like factory, would I need to change that?
If your ccv is back to the orginial way then no you shouldnt have to change it. You will keep your stock turbo boot.
Because this would be mostly for looks, I planned on making the pipe from the filter to the turbo, with a reducer boot directly off the turbo; Intake Pipe Reducer
This would work for both stock 3.5" inlets and aftermarket 4" inlets Length of pipe for both options would be the same. I would also think the boot will have enough flex so no additional bracing required.
Clay, I am assuming you will be making these out of aluminum, not steel?
Perhaps make a "poll" thread and let it cook for a while. With the amount of guys running 6637's, 20 might not be enough!
Definately interested in 2-3 if aluminum and full from turbo to filter
Josh, im with u about making it fit from the turbo to the filter and eliminate the turbo boot all together and put a rubber grommet on the side for the green tube and a reducer boot for the turbo side and make it out of aluminum.
Hey Clay,
These guys just don't give up do they?
Hey Guys I'm working on getting things together to make some of these up, just need some more time to get things together, have other responsibilities ya know, just don't have the funds to just throw at it.
So please be patient with me
