Picked this up for $150. Running 390 (supposedly-could be 360 but who cares), rebuilt C6, guy just wanted it out of his driveway. The engine would barely run with the "rebuilt" carb on it. After I unloaded it off the trailer I bolted on a carb off of a 68 F100 I had parted out and it fired right up and ran great. Finally Dad gets disk brakes on his 65!
Now that's zackly what I have been talking about for parts. Every piece needed for an upgrade are right there. No running to B junk yard for this and C junk yard for that.
How did that azz heavy tow pull, I see the rear of your puller all raised up?
Mr. John Wilker - I have read your posts about using a donor truck and agree with you completely. I would make one small correction, though about the donor truck being complete.
He will need both of the brake line stands mounted to the frame for the front flexible brake lines. However, only one, the driver's side, is bolted on, the other is riveted on the frame and very difficult to remove without damaging the stand, unless one has an oxyacetylene torch to cut the rivet from the backside of the frame.
The good news is that since they are identical, not mirror images, it would be easier for him to use another driver's side stand from a junkyard.
Truck was only a few blocks from my house so tow wasn't an issue. He had it pointing towards his garage so I had to back up to it. Wouldn't run long enough with the crappy carb to load it properly.
As far as the brake line bracket, I just use an air chisel to remove to rivet heads and po the rivets out. Leaving the bracket totally intact.
Hey jhooch what kind of Mastercylander does it have and are you keeping it for the disc brake setup? Any chance the rear gear is in the 350 range and limited slip?

Thanks for the flowers. It has been 10+ years since I did one, & I don't recall what I did today, but did not go yarding for parts.
